Dr.Gerald C. Haggard DVM
Dr. Gerald Haggard founded Exeter Veterinary Hospital April 25th 1982. Dr. Haggard has attended to the medical needs of every specie from Amazon Parrots to zebras in his veterinary career which started after graduating from the University of California in 1978 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. To provide the latest in professional care Dr. Haggard built a modern animal hospital opening in August of 2007. The expansion of service continues with personal attention to the patient and client.
Dr. Gerald Haggard and his wife Kim are active in their church and local civic groups. Their sons and daughter – in – laws are Nick and Hannah, Jordan and Crystal. They have a grandson named Forrest. Multiple cats, dogs, and horses are included in the family.
They all enjoy cycling, gardening and other outdoor activities.
Larissa BarnesSupervisor/Veterinary Technician
Larissa has worked at Exeter Veterinary Hospital for the past 7 years and counting. In her time working for Dr. Haggard she has worked her way from receptionist to Supervisor/Veterinary Technician. She could not imagine doing anything else. Larissa's love for animals follows her home as she has 2 Sphynxes named Cruella and Dobby. She has 2 children, Miss Aeris Capri and Jett. In her spare time she enjoys going the river and lake with family and friends, also to the sprint car races.
Suzie GonzalezVeterinary Technician
Suzie joined Exeter Veterinary Hospital in August of 2008. She was born in Visalia, Ca and raised in Farmersville, Ca. In addition to her veterinary technician skills she acts as our bilingual interpreter. When not at the hospital she enjoys spending time with her 6 year old Yorkshire terrier, Piper. She likes watching movies, outdoor activities and riding her scooter.
Alyssa FrancoVeterinary Technician
Alyssa is currently 24-years-old and has been with Exeter Veterinary Hospital off and on for 9 years. She started as a Kennel Technician her sophomore year of high-school and slowly worked her way to becoming a Veterinarian Technician. She recently got back from a missions trip to Mexico, and hopes to return soon. Some of her favorite things include : her family, reading, writing, art, food , running, traveling, James Franco, advocating animal rights, laughing super hard, and drinking excessive amounts of coffee. Alyssa plans to spend the rest of her life relentlessly loving on animals and people.
Laurie LandersVeterinary Technician
Laurie joined Exeter Veterinary Hospital in January of 2014. She grew up in Farmersville and graduated from San Joaquin Valley College Veterinary Technician program with an A.S. Degree in Animal Science. When she is not working she spends her free time camping, hiking and riding her quad with friends and family. She has 4 dogs, Tank, Cotton, Doc and Roper and 1 cat named Kippey.
Rhonda joined the Exeter Veterinary Hospital team in September of 2008. She graduated from Exeter Union High School and then later attended Golden State Business College where she received a certificate in Administrative Medical/Dental Assisting. She was born and raised in Exeter, where she met her husband Tyler Nash. Rhonda and Tyler have two sons, Evan and Easton. She also has two dogs, Cooter and Baby. She loves to spend her free time at the coast with her family.
Mellisa came to Exeter Veterinary Hospital as a temp receptionist in May of 2011 and again in September of 2013. In January of 2014 she became part of the family. She grew up in Hanford, Ca and attended Hanford High School, where she met her husband Shaun LaMar. Shortly after high school Mellisa attended San Joaquin Valley College and received a certificate of completion in Business Office of Administration. Mellisa thereafter wanted to further her education and attended Boston Reed College, completed her hours of internship and became a certified Pharmacy Technician. Mellisa and her husband Shaun have a daughter, Sierra, and a dog named Oona. Mellisa loves to spend precious time with her family and friends, vacationing at the coast, and the occasional summer camping trips to the Sequoias with their extended family.
Haylee JenningsKennel Technician
Haylee grew up in Visalia, Ca. She graduated from Golden West High School and is now going to College of the Sequoias majoring in nursing. She started working for Exeter Veterinary Hospital in June of 2012. She owns two basset hounds named Bailey and Dottie and one beagle named Barkley. In her spare time she loves to be at the coast.
